Seeing out 2020
2020, the year that was meant to be the start to a new decade, a year to look back on in 2030 and see how far we as a species had come. Sadly as we now know, 2020 will be remembered for very different reasons.
As the pandemic grew larger and larger and the UK was put into lockdown, we were unsure if we were classed as “essential workers” as we were unable to work at home. Our question was soon answered though as several orders for full-lorry-loads of 52 EX-Type IBC tanks came in to us, for customers to use for making and storing medical alcohol.
Despite being busy during the initial lockdown, Pensteel still placed some members of staff onto the furlough scheme to limit the mixing of households within the workplace.
After a tough, challenging and very long year we are pleased to have come out the otherside fighting and we are excited to see what 2021 holds for the company and the industry.
